Stay Day: Day of Service

This year, STAY DAY is excited to engage our participants in service to our community. As the theme reflects “students in action” we’d like to role model this effort as student service professionals. STAY DAY has selected two UC Berkeley student-created and student-run service programs to support in the local community.
We’re asking our participants to join us and support these organizations by brining items from the lists below to the STAY DAY conference. We will have collection bins at the Registration table in the lobby of the Krutch Theatre on the day of the event:

The Stay Day 2012 planning committee is pleased to announce the theme for this year's conference:

Stay Day: Students in Action

UC Berkeley has 1,500 student organizations, has sent more students to the Peace Corps than any university in the nation, and has a reputation for student activism. Our students' remarkable ability to self-motivate and self-organize inspired this year's conference that will highlight the ways students are taking advocacy roles. This can includestudent leaders who are spearheading new programs, how student organizations are promoting their goals and causes, ways in which students are fostering creativity and action, students serving the community, etc. Staff can, in turn, find ways to provide support to our student leaders by learning about how Cal students are taking action.

Join us for an action packed day on Wednesday, May 23rd at the Clark Kerr Conference Center from 8:15AM - 5:00PM.
