College campuses have traditionally enjoyed the festivities that surround St. Patrick’s Day and students have put their own creative spin to celebrating the Emerald Isle's patron saint. Students have shown their innovativeness by hosting themed parties and activities. Bars will be packed and house parties will demonstrate their creativeness with their own green beer concoction.

When you party this St. Patrick Day, please remember

Know about the City of Berkeley’s Second Response noise ordinance:
Be respectful of your neighbors and don’t let your parties get out of control. If you feel it is getting crazy, contact the police to get help before they contact you. Don’t let your party end up like the one at Western Michigan University or at Penn State University.
Drink responsibly:
Binge Drinking has become a big part of St Patrick’s Day celebration on college campuses. Whatever drinking game or activity you choose, drink responsibly. Bing drinking has been connected to 1,400 college student deaths annually.

Make sure your friends don’t drink and drive:
Police presence increases but they cannot stop the reality of this heavy drinking holiday where California motorists are 21% more likely to be killed or injured.
