Spot Award


  Definition Recognition of special contributions, as they occur, for a specific project or task, generally for a special contribution accomplished over a relatively short time period.    Spot Award
Eligibility PPSM (PSS or MSP) Employee in appointments: Career, Partial Year Career, Contract, Limited, Per Diem, or Casual/Restricted (student employee). 
  Budget Source Campus allocated funds to Student Affairs.
Approval Level The decision maker(s) is designated by the departmental director.
  Information Requested Completion of nomination form.
Criteria All recognition awards use one or more of the following Operating Principles:

•  We are accountable to each other 
•  We imagine and innovate 
•  We focus on service
•  We simplify

  Amount $500. Teams that are recognized via Spot Awards receive $500 per team member.
Time Period of Award For the award period of July 1, 2013-June 30, 2014, awards may be granted for achievements that occurred during the current fiscal calendar year.
  Frequency of Award One Achievement and two Spot Awards with a cumulative amount in the fiscal year not to exceed 10% of the employee’s annual base salary or $10,000, whichever amount is less.
