If you’re looking for ways to make your event healthier, we have several resources to make it easier for you.

This program identifies and promotes healthier food options on and around the UC Berkeley campus. It is administered by Health*Matters, the UCB wellness program for faculty and staff.

Tips for a healthier event:

  • Provide water and unsweetened beverages
  • Provide at least one vegetarian option
  • Consider lean proteins, such as beans, fish and poultry
  • Select dishes with vegetables as the central ingredient
  • Provide fruit as a dessert option
  • Use whole grains when possible
  • Avoid cream-based dressings and sauces
  • Provide smaller portions
  • Request foods made with minimal added salt and sugar
  • Include activity breaks during meetings
