After a particularly busy Fall semester I was looking forward to the Spring semester and more specifically Spring Break. School was going great and I have a great support group of friends, but something seemed to be missing. I loved Cal but I just didn't feel like I was getting that whole "college experience". Then one day a representative for Alternative Breaks from Cal Corps came and spoke to my class. It sounded really interesting but I was really looking forward to flying home for Spring Break to hang out with some old friends. The next day I couldn't stop thinking about the Alternative Breaks, they just seemed like the best way to spend my time. So I went to Cal Corps and talked to some people. They helped me find just the right program for me. Spring Break was amazing not because I saw old friends or hung out on the beach, but because I found new friends and made a difference.
