Join Us: Help Create a Culture of Pride, Trust, and Community!
Dear Student Affairs Staff,
It’s been awhile since the GO BIG Staff Initiative Team updated you on the GO BIG project. As you may know, GO BIG is a Student Affairs-wide initiative to create a culture where staff are part of a supportive and cohesive culture where no one feels marginalized, and where we can create a working environment for staff that is based on the elements of pride, trust, and community.
In the recent past, we brought together staff from all across the division to identify our goals and build the future of our division. As we’ve entered a time of transition - both in Student Affairs and across campus - we’ve been “going local.” This includes empowering managers and supervisors with skills to build pride, trust, and community within their units. During challenging times, it’s more important than ever to re-commit ourselves to a constructive and trusting work environment.
We want to extend the invitation to you, to join our cross-divisional team and offer your unique perspectives!
If you are able to attend once-a-month meetings (1-1.5 hours) on or near campus, with an additional 3 hours per month of flexibility for potential project support, we’d love to bring your talents and experience to our committee.*
*Please be sure to discuss and seek your supervisor’s approval.
Thank you for making Student Affairs a great place to work!
Aspirational Culture Statement: “Student Affairs is a great workplace where staff trust the people they work with, take pride in what they do, and feel a sense of community in support of the student experience.”
